WHS & HR Coordinator

The RIX Group specialises in all aspects of Ground Engineering and Slope Stabilisation. Continued growth and development has expanded our business and with it the necessity to provide a high level of WHS prequalification to our Clients throughout Australia.

Job Details:

This busy role would suit some who is great with people, has high energy, likes variety, and has some safety experience! You will touch on safety and return to work, human resources, training and administration. You must be well organised, motivated, enjoy having a lot of things going on at once and you must have the ability to work autonomously. Your role will include:

  • Based primarily in the office with a half day on site once per week
  • Receiving, recording and responding to site inspections, hazard report, all incident reports
  • Investigating incidents
  • Prepare and distribute safety alerts and TBT’s
  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation
  • Policies and procedures
  • SWMS review
  • RA for dangerous chemicals
  • Compiling and reviewing SOP’s
  • Weekly health and safety newsletter
  • Return to work (notifying insurer, RTW plans etc)
  • Drive early intervention and influence early RTW
  • Weekly RTW reporting to management
  • Recording statistics on injuries
  • Board reports quarterly
  • Fortnightly safety meeting with management
  • Fortnightly yard meeting
  • Booking training
  • Maintaining training register
  • Maintaining registers such as action, calibration, test and tag
  • Booking, reviewing and monitoring health surveillance medicals
  • Booking and reviewing pre-employment medicals
  • Organise and facilitate Supervisor training days
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Submit safety information for tender prequalification’s
  • Internal auditing
  • Prepare for ISO audits
  • Onboarding for projects using various company systems such as Pegasus, Damstra, Eify, Hammertech, MTA RIW etc

 

Qualifications

  • Cert IV in WHS
  • RTW
  • ICAM or similar (desirable)
  • Auditing (desirable)
  • Drivers licence
  • White card

Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge in the construction sector preferred, with time spent on site
Previous exposure to integrated management systems, polices, procedurs and H&S, Environment and Quality audits
Relevent qualifications in WHS
White Card
Full drivers licence
